In the first way to get SSL certificate on your website is to set up manually by the File Manager. And in a second way automatically generated or configuration by CPanel Let’s Encrypt Add-on.
First Method: How to get Free SSL Certificate on Your Website by File Manager Configuration
Here we follow some steps to apply free SSL certificate on a website.
STEP -1 :
Firstly Open Your File Manager Through CPanel of Your Shared Web Hosting Account and Then Search in Google “SSL For Free” or Visit at
STEP 2 :
Now Enter your Website URL in the URL form of the SSLforfree website and hit enter. and you will get two verification process options to verify your domain or website URL. Then you choose manually Verification Process option to verify your domain or website URL(Because It’s easy to verify your domain or website URL).
STEP 3 :
Now Comeback into your file manager and create new folder with name as ” .well-known ” in your Public_HTML Directory And now again create new folder with name as ” acme-challenge ” in the .well-known name folder. Now upload the manual verification files as you download from the sslforfree website. and after the successful uploads of files.
STEP 4 :
Now you need to go back on the sslforfree website to verify your domain name or website URL with help of giving URL at the sslforfree website. after the successful verification you need to generate free SSL Certificate for your website as per Click on the button to generate Free SSL.
Now after the successfully generated SSL Certificate for your website. Download the SSL Certificate at Your Computer and extract them from ZIP file. You need to go back into your CPanel And Open SSL Manager. In the SSL Manager, you need to go in the section of Manage or Install Certificate.

In this step, we need to choose/upload the .crt file from the extracted folder of the sslforfree. And after the successful uploads of .crt files you need go back in the SSL manager and choose the digital signature and upload the signature file from the extracted folder of sslforfree. Now Go back in the section of install or manage SSL Certificates. Then Choose the Uploaded Certificate from the certificate directory and Click on the Install Certificate Button and Now you just need to wait for successfully installation of SSL Certificate at your Apache Server.
STEP 7 :
After the successful installation, you can use or get https:// in your website URL and now your website show the green URL in the browser. It’s mean your Website is now safe for surfing by users.
Second Method: How to get Free SSL Certificate on Your Website With Help of Let’s Encrypt Add-on in Your CPanel
In this way I’m using 121webhosting Shared Web Hosting Account (Because it provides free SSL ) for their users and also 121webhosting Plans are affordable and easy to manage.
STEP 1 :
In this way to get free SSL certificate on website URL we need firstly open our CPanel Account and then Search or Find the Let’s Encrypt Add-on ( Basically it’s available only for those who provide free SSL with their website hosting plan ) if it is not available in your CPanel then Don’t Worry You need to Choose our First Way of How to get free SSL certificate on your website. So Hereafter the Search of the Let’s Encrypt Add-on if you get it in your CPanel then Open this add-on and follow the next step.
